In front of the MET this afternoon, I saw a beat old puerto rican guy yelling maniacally in Spanish. I watched as he hassled the guy running an Italian ice stand and bothered multiple tourists walking by. I passed by him and went to sit on the ledge of a fountain to look at pictures I'd taken so far. As the hobo came nearer to me he saw my camera and stopped short with a strange grin on his face. I motioned like I was going to take his picture and he put on a big gap-toothed smile and struck a few ridiculous poses right there on the sidewalk. I wasn't sure if wanted money for his modeling, but I gave him a buck and said gracias before he moved on to scare some tourists on the next block.
